Little pools of vitreous enamel in a rainbow of colours. The surrounding edges of the sterling silver pools are polished to a high shine to set off that gorgeous transparent colour. The earrings are securely soldered on to sterling silver posts and finished off with sterling butterfly backs - these make a lovely little gift. The studs measure approximately 7-8mm across.
These earrings are handmade and the nature of enamel is that there will be some variation, however I do take care to match pairs for you. Earrings will be presented in a gift box.
Just when you though they couldn't get any better - Minnie Earrings are now made with recycled silver. What's more, the silver left over after I cut out all the little circles gets turned into even more earrings
Vitreous Enamel
Vitreous enamel is powdered glass which is melted at high temperatures (around 800 degrees centigrade) to give a durable layer of glass on the surface of metal. I only use lead free enamels.
