Threading your light pulls
If you're having problem threading your pull this may help
I make the pulls on a 3.2mm rod (mandrel) which results in a hole about 3.5mm. The cord I supply is 3mm which is a snug fit (because it looks better than the pull slopping about on a finer cord) but not impossible to thread - these tips may help
- A piece of tape (or the label from the cord) is handy to trap the fraying end and extend the cord ready for threading
- Wrap the tape tightly around the end of the cord
- You might find it helpful to trim the free end of the tape to a point
- The trimmed end of the tape is now easily threaded down through the pull.
- You might find pliers useful to work the cord through. Twisting the cord can help too
- Once the cord is threaded, tie a knot, trim the end and hide it in the larger hole at the base of your pull
If you're wondering whether a pull will fit on to your existing pull cord or fit all the cords for roman blinds etc, then the 'Will it fit?' pack might be helpful. Order one of those and I'll send you some beads to try out on your cord before you purchase a pull.
